The Grand Chapters of
Alberta, British Columbia &Yukon, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Washington
will be meeting once again for our annual “Hands Across the Border” Exchange on
May 2, 2009. This is strictly a social get-together to renew old acquaintances,
make new ones and enjoy a day filled with fun, food and fellowship, AND who can
forget the special entertainment?!
The Grand Chapter of
Alberta cordially invites you to attend this fun filled weekend. Worthy Grand
Matron Sister Irene Allan and Worthy Grand Patron Brother Daryl Calder have
selected the theme “Circle of Friends” for this evening.
Dress for the evening will be glitz for the ladies and suits for the men. All Grand Officers to wear their dresses for the occasion. Each jurisdiction is being asked to provide some form of light entertainment after dinner.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Coeur d‘Alene Casino Resort Hotel under the name of “Eastern Star”. The room rate for the event is $67.35 US including tax. This special rate will apply for Friday and Saturday nights. DINNER Reservation deadline is April 17, 2009. ROOM CUT-OFF DATE is APRIL 3, 2009, BOOK TO HOLD THE SPECIAL RATE OF $67.36 PER NIGHT SINGLE OR DOUBLE OCCUPANCY.
Please make your reservations early as they will release the rooms on that day. The hotel’s toll free number is 1-800-523-2464, make sure you state “Order of the Eastern Star”.
If you are interested in RV parking, it is available in the parking lot. Electricity is provided at light poles, you must register at the front desk (they don’t take reservations), no other hook-ups are provided.
We will start Saturday afternoon from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a get together with our Vision Quest Committee members from the jurisdictions. Please join them in seeing what the future may hold for us all. This will be held upstairs where the banquet will be held.
Dinner check-in will start at 4:30 p.m. and the no-host social hour at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2009. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m.
Dinner will be a buffet with a selection of Roast Baron of Beef, Stuffed Pork Loin, and Rosemary rubbed baked half chicken, served with three types of salads, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, a medley of seasonal vegetables, choice of deep dish apple or peach cobbler with whipped cream and a full beverage service. Cost for the dinner is $34.00 per person US funds. No Late Reservations Accepted. There will be NO complimentary dinners. See attached form.
It will be our honor to have our RWAGM Sister Rennie Ofton and our RWAGP Brother Fred Clarke in attendance to make some announcements. Please join “OUR CIRCLE of FRIENDS” for a special afternoon and evening of fun, food and fellowship. We’re looking forward to widening the circle.
